| Shane P. Davis, Ph.D. is currently serving a two-year fellowship as an Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Officer in the Office on Smoking and Health (OSH) at the Centers for Disease Control. Dr. Davis completed her doctorate training in 2006 from the University of South Carolina in Clinical-Community Psychology. She completed internship and post-doctoral training from 2005-2007 at Emory University School of Medicine. During her doctorate training, Dr. Davis’ interests and training in smoking health and behaviors developed while working as a clinical interventionist for a smoking cessation program that integrated cognitive-behavioral techniques, motivational interviewing, and pharmacotherapy. Presently, Dr. Davis’ interests as an EIS Officer in OSH include tobacco use cessation and interventions for adults, youth tobacco prevention, health-related tobacco disparities, and effects of targeted tobacco marketing within communities. | |
