Ms. May is Regional Advocacy Director for  Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids, based in Washington D.C.   The Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids is a privately funded organization established to focus the nation’s attention and action on reducing tobacco use, especially among children.

Beverly is based in Utah and her region covers the Western Region and Ohio which includes: Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, California,  New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Ohio.

Beverly provides support and technical assistance to state tobacco control coalitions and programs as they advocate for tobacco control policies and implement comprehensive tobacco prevention and cessation programs.  She provides testimony in state legislatures on a variety of tobacco control issues, as well as speaking at local and national conferences and other public forums.

Beverly has more than 13 years experience working in the area of policy change, focusing in the area of anti-tobacco issues. She has 25 years of experience with youth, focusing in behavior and substance abuse areas and policy change.

She currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Salt Lake Valley Board of Health, Past Chair for the American Heart Association, Utah Division, Board Member for Westminster College,  Homeless Youth Resource Center and United Way Women’s Philanthropic Network.

She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health Education and Masters in Public Administration from University of Utah.
